The TS01 side table plays with the common combination of poured concrete and rebar, the steel used in reinforced concrete. in its traditional form, the steel is concealed within the concrete and serves only to increase its structural stability. Here it is made visible as table legs, with it’s rippled surface structure transforming it from a functional to an aesthetic element. The thinness of the rebar legs is contrasted with the heaviness of the concrete top.
