The Beech and Ash Chair is characterised by its slender square section chair legs and the thin seat made of white stained and oiled beech wood, which convey an optical lightness. In order to give the seating furniture its necessary stability, pairs of cross struts made of oiled ash wood are used as reinforcement as well as a backrest. However, these do not only have a functional character, but are also graphic a strong visual element due to the contrasting material and the diverging surface treatment and colour.
