This piece was developed around the idea of only using extruded aluminium sections to form a large meeting table. In taking the form of a U shape the aluminium can be kept extremely thin giving the object a light appearance while keeping it’s weight low, meaning it can be easily moved.
Table leg’s made with the same profile are aligned with the profiles of the top allowing for a smooth transition between the two elements. These junctions were welded and sanded back to give a continuous surface on the outer sides of the table.
